The Glad Café is a cafe, bar and multi-arts venue built on creativity, hospitality and culture with a social conscience. It is an award winning café/music venue with accessible via ramps going through into a wide-open space. The venue prides itself on being wheelchair friendly and assistance dogs are welcome. There are accessible toilets and the doors are wide enough for wheelchair users.

To get there:

We are keen to encourage active travel to our festival and have provided information for all our venues. You may also wish to take advantage of the electric bicycle scheme, Voi, which operates on a pay as you go, prepaid or subscription basis. There are pick up and drop off points throughout the city.

  • By bike:There are uncovered bike racks outside Langside Halls.

  • By bus: From Queen Street (West Nile Street) or Central Station (Jamaica Street):
    3, 38, 38B, 57 and 57A to Langside Avenue Bus stop (9 stops). It is a 2 min walk (351 feet).

  • By train: From Central Station High Level take trains marked Barrhead to Crossmyloof station which is a 7 min (0.3 Miles) walk to the venue via Minard Road/Pollokshaws Road.

  • By subway: The nearest underground station is Bridge Street. There is step free access to the ticketing concourse. There are three flights of stairs to the platform.
    From the station take the number 3, 38, 38B, 57 and 57A from Eglinton Street to Langside Avenue Bus stop. (9 stops). It is a 2 min walk (351 feet).
    The route is mostly flat.

  • By car: There is pay and display on street parking on Pollokshaws Road and a JustPark Car Park opposite the Glad Cafe (adjacent to Langside Halls) . Blue Badge holders can park for free and any length of time. There is a drop off and pick up point directly outside the venue.
