The Reid Auditorium (GSA)

Located on 164 Renfrew Street, the Reid Building is in complementary contrast to Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s 1909 Glasgow School of Art – forging a symbiotic relation in which each structure heightens the integral qualities of the other.

To get there:

On foot: From Central Station (Gordon Street) is a 10 min walk (0.4 miles) via Hope Street, Sauchiehall Street and Renfrew Street. From Queen Street (Dundas Place or Hanover Street) is a 16 min walk (0.7 miles) via Bath Street and Sauchiehall Street. The route is flat.
By subway: The nearest underground station is Cowcaddens.
By car: There is a car park is Q-Park on Sauchiehall Street. Blue Badge holders can park for free and any length of time.

Access Information:

Entry to the Reid building is from Scott St. There is a public footpath up to a ramp that leads to the Reid building doors on Renfrew.
The building’s magnetic front door lock will be deactivated and open for wheelchair users.
The ground floor reception desk is lowered to wheelchair level at one end for enquiries.
There are 2 lifts in the Reid building to the East and West. The lifts are accessible and is located on the ground floor to the right of the main reception desk.
Accessible toilets are located on each floor.
