Soudain Toujours, Guillaume Cousin

Fuelled by his fascination with quantum physics, in Soudain Toujours, scenographer and lighting designer Guillaume Cousin investigates the uncertainties that lie at the heart of what we think of as permanent. Mountain ranges may seem immutable, but they do still move: representing their geological slowness, Cousin sends light and smoke creeping through a wind tunnel uncannily free of turbulence. The score, by experimental composer Clement Édouard, plucks apart and recomposes the human voice’s own unheard vibrations.
