Bloom, Maotik’s Mathieu Le Sourd

Maotik’s Mathieu Le Sourd is concerned with patterns in nature, and how these can be technologically reproduced and manipulated. In his installation work, Bloom, visitors are encouraged to move fingers and hands across touch-sensitive surfaces, generating abstract floral shapes that burst vividly across the screens. As the flowers blossom and grow in unpredictable patterns, so too the accompanying music modulates, shifting in relation to the flowering of this virtual garden.
