At extremely close range and in stately slow motion, a camera moves over mysterious accretions –the ridges, blooms, strata and grooves of mineral growth – while blissful drone music gives way to busying, skewed synthesiser melodies and towering slabs of noise. This new audiovisual work Nati Infiniti from sound artist (and member of Nine Inch Nails) Alessandro Cortini melds the almost-recognisable, as sound and visuals alike hover on the brink of resolving into familiar forms, with the distinctly alien. Visuals come from Marco Ciceri.
