Inspired by Indigenous Latin American rituals and Indigenous cosmology, Cosmic Ch’ixi is a playable installation, with music by Alex Smoke featuring Indigenuous instrumentation and the sounds of nature. In the game we encounter a world in flux: over blood-red sand dunes, a hovering heart puts out tree-like limbs spewing glittering waterfalls; from floating rocks sprout brilliantly coloured cacti. But all is not well in this virtual land of plenty. Cracks are developing underfoot while overhead the stars are sickening. Players can perform actions that heal this magic-realist world, helping to transform a hellish landscape into something more hopeful
