Heft is an independent solo artist from Yangon, Myanmar. He composes, designs sounds, produces and manages his unique brand of electronic music all from a bedroom studio.

He is known for his etheric soundscapes, emotional beats, glitch drums and melodramatic melodies. His influences are Aphex Twin, Ben Frost, Jon Hopkins, Ryuichi Sakamoto, The Glitch Mob and Moderat. His music is also inspired by cosmic horror, liminal, etheric and spiritual films such as Annihilation, Treeof Life, The Seventh Seal, Arrival and Prometheus. Heft has recently released Mensch, the last album of trilogy of Solicit (Self-Destruction), Hermitage (Self-Discovery) and Mensch (Self-Acceptance).

The debut EP was released on his own label, Urban Gut and it was noticed and supported by a major platform such as Bandcamp.

Heft has been working closely with the art collective Noise in Yangon and the Institut Français de Birmanie to bolster the local avant-garde music scene.
