Sonica Glasgow
Sonica is an award-winning festival of world-class audiovisual work produced by Cryptic (est. 1994). The festival presents exceptional international artists alongside emerging UK talent, in collaboration with renowned co-producers and venues exploring visual music, sonic and digital arts.
Sonica was launched at Tramway in 2012 and has presented more than 1,180 events in diverse venues around the city and further afield, reaching over 206,000 people.
In 2020, the festival won an Outdoor Media Award and in 2018, received the Scottish Award for New Music in Creative Programming.

Sonica Surge
From the 29/30 September 2023, Glasgow’s Tramway and Hidden Gardens played host to Sonica Surge, a concentrated burst of inspiring and innovative audiovisual art and experimentation.
