Sonica Glasgow is Scotland’s leading 11-day biennial festival of audiovisual art and experimental music, produced by Cryptic. For over a decade, Sonica has presented pioneering work at the intersection of sound, image and architecture, transforming venues across Glasgow into immersive environments that challenge and inspire audiences.
Since 2012, Sonica has presented 1,200+ events by artists from across six continents, building an international reputation for ambitious high quality work.

In 2025, Sonica was a finalist for Best Large Festival at the Scottish Event Awards. The festival won an Outdoor Media Award in 2020 and in 2018, received the Scottish Award for New Music for Creative Programming.
The next edition takes place Glasgow-wide Thursday 24 September – Sunday 4 October 2026.
