Sonica Glasgow- sonic art for the visually minded

Sonica Glasgow is an  11-day biennial festival dedicated to world-class audiovisual art produced by Cryptic (est. 1994). We present the best of UK talent alongside exceptional international artists, taking place across the city in numerous venues exploring visual music, sonic and digital arts in collaboration with renowned co-producers and venues exploring visual music, sonic and digital arts.

Sonica was launched at Tramway in 2012 and has presented more than 1,180 events in diverse venues around the city and further afield, reaching over 206,000 people.

In 2020, the festival won an Outdoor Media Award and in 2018, received the Scottish Award for New Music in Creative Programming.

Next edition takes place Glasgow-wide from 19-29 September 2024.
